SolSmart Webinar: Expanding Solar Participation through Community Solar

Community solar is a proven approach that is gaining popularity in cities and counties across the country as a way to promote equitable solar deployment while also helping municipalities achieve climate and energy goals. It allows multiple energy consumers to lease or own shares of a single solar PV array and receive compensation for the electricity that their portion of the system produces. This SolSmart webinar describes the community solar concept and the various models employed to implement it. It also discusses the enabling regulatory and legislative conditions that are key to deployment, and presents several case studies that can be emulated by other communities.
